Quick Fuel Technologies Halloween Classic – Summit Motorsports – October 20-27, 2013

The week of October 20-27 is a great time to be in Northern Ohio! Summit Motorsports will be hosting their annual Halloween Classic, starting on Sunday with qualifications and eliminations. On Monday, there is a Racer Welcome Party and “Candy” Corn Hole Tournament.

Tuesday starts the FUN racing with the Mean Motorhome race! Time trials at 6pm and racing starts at 6:30. Wednesday is another full day of racing. Thursday is “Token Joke” day. The winner of the Joke contest will receive a set of Mickey Thompson rear slicks, a great prize! Friday is Limerick Day as well as A pumpkin carving party from 2-6pm. All of the pumpkins will be used to decorate the park for Saturday’s fun.

When the sun rises on October 26th, expect the un-expected at Trick Flow Specialties “Fright Night”, the largest Drag Racing Halloween Party in the world! You never know who you will meet at the park  – maybe a ghoul or a goblin, a ghost or a witch! Hayrides for all ages, a kids’ Halloween party with a costume contest starts at 5:00pm. Racing teams will have worked all week to decorate their pit areas and race rigs to take home the Classic Gremlin Trophy. Judging will take place between 5-8 pm. At 7pm, all motorized traffic comes to a halt so kids can trick-or-treat for one hour from the pit areas and motor homes. At 8pm, the adult fun begins with the Gordon Food Service “Adult Witching Hour”, with a dinner and adult costume contest. The fun continues with the final round
of qualifying of the Hughes Performance Top Gun Shootout at 8:30 p.m.,
followed by the ‘Trick Flow’ Bumper Draggin’ Wheelie
Contest!

Sunday is Quick Fuel Technologies Survivor’s Day! All classes will run to completion. After all the class champions have been crowned, each will then race off to see who will be our next Grand Champion!  This is the “last hurrah” to the racing season, and will be a week of fun!

Don’t forget to think of Angel Welcome Bed & Breakfast for lodging when visiting the Motorsports park!
