Well, the weather outside is the normal level of frightfulness for December, but there are many local events and activities to keep your heart warm this holiday season!
Only 15 minutes from Angel Welcome Bed and Breakfast is the Christmas Light Show Spectacular at Ghostly Manor Thrill Center in Sandusky. Open every night from 6 pm-12 am through December 31st, this free event allows you to stay in your car and enjoy the light show every 30 minutes. Also at the Thrill Center is the 3D Christmas Winter Wonderland Walk-Thru, starting at noon each day in December. Sip a cup of hot chocolate, don your magical glasses, and let your fantasy tour through Wonderland commence! (Closed on Christmas Day) For more information, call 419-626-4467.
For another light show, drive 13 minutes to Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron for the Firelands Festival of Lights. Each night from 5-10 pm through the end of December, delight in this family- friendly light display presented by over 30 local non-profits. This is a drive-along tour. Sandusky State Theatre has several seasonal presentations this year. On December 14th, at both 2:30 and 7pm , see Miracle on 34th Street: Live on Stage, in which a wee girl learns that dreams really do come true if you believe. On December 19th at 2pm, enjoy the musical stylings of the famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. Finally, on December 21st at 10:30am and 2:30pm the theatre will present a free viewing of the fun-filled movie, “Arthur Christmas”.
